The Waiting Room: New Sermon Series
Waiting is rarely comfortable. Whether it’s the slow drip of an IV in a hospital room, the silence after a prayer, or the ache for a promise not yet fulfilled, we all know what it feels like to sit in life’s “waiting room.” And yet, the season of Advent tells us that waiting isn’t wasted time—it’s where God often does His deepest work.
In this Christmas series, The Waiting Room: Purpose in the Pause, we’ll explore what it means to wait with purpose. Each week, we’ll see how God meets us in the pause—not with frustration, but with formation. Through the voices of prophets and apostles, we’ll learn to wait for hope (Isaiah 40:31), to rest in peace (John 14:27), to rejoice in joy (Philippians 4:4), and to love with longing (Romans 5:5). And on Christmas Sunday, we’ll celebrate the glorious truth that the wait is over—Jesus has come (John 1:14), and He is everything we were waiting for.
So if your heart feels stuck in the in-between, come join us. There’s purpose in the pause. And there’s a Savior at the end of the wait.
