God’s unwavering resolve shines through every generation. From His covenants with Adam, Noah, and Abraham, to His faithfulness in exile, God’s purpose to redeem and restore His people never faltered. The story of Nehemiah models this. The story begins in the splendor of a Persian palace, where a cupbearer’s heart beats with deep concern for a broken city and a forgotten, endangered people. His story reminds us that God’s resolve toward His people never wavers, even when they are scattered, shamed, or struggling. Through Unwavering Resolve, we will walk alongside Nehemiah and his people as they reclaim their identity, renew their worship, and rediscover the God who never abandoned them. Doing so prepares us in part for staying the course through challenges we will face that seek to cultivate despair. Instead, we will cultivate hope—hope in God to keep His promises and build His church. His resolve was unwavering then and remains so now.
